I don’t like my neighbours!

My neighbours are lost when they can’t use their car; they take their car to go to school ( imagine the school is very far from their home… about 500 meters ), they take their car to buy some bread ( 600 meters ), they take their car when the weather is rainy ( maybe they don’t know how to use an umbrella ... ) . My neighbours are lazy, selfish and fat ( they don’t walk enough )
How are your neighbours ?

I like my neighbors, but not because they all hold to the same values as me. I think that it is much worse for the world when we pass judgement on people than when we drive 600 meters to the grocery store. I have found that getting to know people of different beliefs and ideals really helps you to understand them. I think its a shame if we just judge people and don’t take a chance to be friends and strengthen our community and the world.

Maybe there is a way to encourage them to walk more in a positive way. At the current gas prices, it is quite amazing that they are still using their car for so many things. Starting a friendly conversation and casually mentioning how much you save by walking, or tell them about some other positive differences that walking makes.

They are just doing what they do.
Some of my neighbors are crack heads and have shit laying all over their yard. You could have that.
Try to educate them a little.

People…essentially we’re all neighbors, drive me crazy too!  I’m trying to understand it…I think we’ll all come to understand at some point…I just pray to learn without tragedy…So, when I get frustrated or annoyed, I turn inward…again and again…each time I’m annoyed with something on the outside I focus on myself…seeking and finding my faults, my responsibility in what is wrong in the world…bringing about an evolving understanding that we’re all pirates to some degree.  And that helps…understanding yourself, your part, slowly bringing some balance to the “wrong of others”; the result is that most of us are not blameless.  As Jack has said, “we’ve all got the blood on our hands.” I also believe there’s a piece of innocence in us all…something to understand as we travel the road of responsibility…maybe that’s what Jack is referring to when he says, “if we’re the ones to blame then the fruit shouldn’t taste so good, we were used…”

The people that live across from me somehow generate more trash each week (4 people) then my house in 3 weeks (3 people). I don’t know how they do it, but I bet it has something to do with not recycling. My neighbor next to me is great though. Our vegetable garden is right next to her house so when we have extra she takes stuff instead of buying it. She also borrows milk/eggs/baking dishes instead of making a special grocery trip. She lives alone so it would be a huge waste to go out for just one thing.
