With each passing year, I feel a greater sense of urgency to do some good in this world. While teaching is rewarding, I often think my students, here in wealthy Northern Virginia, could learn from nearly anyone. I’m looking to make a greater difference, and to teach my own kids what is really important in life. I am mother of two children, a journalism teacher, and the wife of a environmental education teacher. My husband once lived in Hawaii and still surfs. We are committed to environmental issues and human rights issues.
